Candied Yams (Sweet Potatoes)

Ingredients:

2 yams (sweet potatoes if you prefer)

3/4 cups brown sugar

16 oz. crushed pineapple (juice included)

1/2 stick butter

Marshmallow

Directions

Peel yams and boil until soft. Using a potato masher, mix with butter after draining water; mix sugar, pineapple and juice. Pour into potatoes and mix. Pour in pan or casserole dish and bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Immediately upon removing from oven slice butter onto top  then cover with marshmallows. Return to oven until marshmallows are golden brown. Will not take lons keep a watchful eye.
