BEER BARBEQUE PORK

3 pounds boneless pork loin

1 12-ounce can beer

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1/3 cup mustard

1/4 cup cooking oil

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic salt

Place pork loin in a large shallow dish. Tupperware makes a very good container for marinating. In a medium bowl, stir together remaining ingredients; pour over pork. Cover and refrigerate over night, turning occasionally. If you have a sealed container like the tupperware you can flip the container instead of the pork. It a lot less messing around.

Remove pork from marinade. Place over drip pan on grill if you have one. Baste frequently with marinade. Remember barbecue is low and slow. Remove  beer barbecue pork from grill when meat thermometer reads 165ºF, about 1 hour. Let stand about 10 minutes before slicing to serve.
